Manitoba PNP Draw – December 2, 2021

 Manitoba PNP Draw – December 2, 2021

Manitoba invited 438 immigration candidates to apply for provincial nomination for Canada PR in new draw

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) released details of its latest immigration draw held on December 2, 2021.

A total of 438 immigration candidates across three streams of MPNP – Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and International Education Stream received invitations, also known as Letters of Advice to apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residency.

Out of total 438 invitations issued, 71 went to Express Entry Candidates.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

The MPNP is one of the most popular of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). There are three major streams under the MPNP that offer foreign skilled workers a pathway to settle in Canada permanently – Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream, and International Education Stream.

In order to apply under both the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories, applicants need to first register an EOI profile with the MPNP.

These EOI profiles are then scored on the Manitoba points’ grid out of a total score of 1,000 based on their human capital characteristics including their English or French language skills, work experience, education, Manitoba connections, and other factors.

Candidates with the highest scores are then invited to apply for provincial nomination through regular draws conducted by the MPNP.

Express Entry Candidates, who successfully receive a provincial nomination, are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This effectively guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in subsequent PNP-specific Express Entry Draws.

The MPNP has now issued a total of 10,437 LAAs for provincial nomination to immigration candidates so far in 2021.
